thenok
Hei! How do you keep your underseat tools free from rust. Mine has started rusting, and everytime i wash my bike the foam holding it on place gets very wet. Link to comment
Rob L
Tools? There are tools under there? Seriously, I have never used them! Don't know what they look like. They are probably rusty too! I do maintenence with my "garage" tools, and haven't needed to use whatever is under the seat .... yet . I do have an extra alt. belt under there. I hope if I ever need to replace it there are enough tools to do the job Link to comment
Softtail
Don't know exactly what bike you are talking about, but my RT tools have never gotten wet. I only use a hose and a bucket of water to wash it. High pressure washers can really screw things up. As for the tools, most of the stuff is pretty crude but there is this nifty litte tool for pulling off the plug wires without ruining them.<<<<Softtail>>> Link to comment
hmeiseles
When I used to own an RT I sprayed the tools with a little WD40 every so offen. It seemed to keep the rust down to a managable level. I still do that on my krs. Regards Link to comment
