Bob Palin
As you may know I recently aquired a CBR1000, I want to adjust the valves which are screw/locknut tappet type and the manual calls for a special "lock nut wrench" I've searched for the part number but got very little info, does anybody know what the business end of this tool looks like? Is there likely to be a more general tool that I can use? It seems to be used on Honda cars too. Link to comment
Tool Man
Bob, Give my buddy Rick Hobbs a call at Erion Racing and be sure to tell him I referred you to him. He can discribe the tool in detail and may even have one he'd be willing to sell you. If we can get a drawing of it I could make it for you. I'm in the process of machining up a bunch of spare motor tools to keep on the truck. His shop # is (714) 630-8850 Link to comment
Bob Palin
Thanks Mike, I found a guy on a Honda S2000 site who had one, he said it is actually almost identical to a rather common tool He had used it on a 1990 CBR600 so I imagine it will do the job for me. Link to comment
