I have a friend who makes prototypes and patterns for companys like REI. I had her make me one for my Escort that is water proof with a shock cord to tighten, clear face. wasn't cheep ($75.00) but worth it. I am totally happy with it and it sort of hides it as well. Before I was the baggie and tape type of guy. This was the best option I found, all the seams are sealed and waterproof membrain is used as well. Link to comment
