Jumping into the GPS arena

Just got a good deal on a Gamin GPS V. A guy at work bought one last week. When he showed his wife, she loved it and said, "I want color and voice prompts!"

Well, needless to say, I'm picking it up for almost half the cost.

Can't afford the one I'd really like, 'cus mamma's getting a new knee in Jan.

Back to the mounting question.

I would really like to mount it on the triple, but can't seem to find a bracket. Anybody direct me to one, or do I need to make one?

The second one I like is this:

Even though it is not for a GPS, does anyone know if it will work?

Thanks

Not exactly sure which bike you wish to mount the Garmin V to, but these are the best mounts made, period.

You can find them HERE

I have used these mounts before. They are expensive, but they will not fail, very well designed.

I have attached a picture.

If you have or are considering a Big Mak tank bag, check out this "tank bag shelf" for the BMA bags that a local guy is now making based on one I had cobbled together a while back. It works and looks great, and the GPS can come off the bike with the tank bag...a simple, cheap solution.

I think there's an error on his site, though...the one he describes as 1" high is actually 3" - that's the one I use with my BMA space case. I think the other one is 6" high and for use with the bigger bags.

Go to gpsworldsupply.com.

They have a handlebar unit for the GArmin V for $25.

I just ordered the Garmin V from them with the mount , CD, and case.
