I'm leaning towards dariens, because I'm so impressed with my darien jacket, and I have a hard time thinking anyone will come up with better armor, but, I'm prepared to be proven wrong! Waterproof is a necessity. The Ultimate pants have a waterproof removeable liner. I'd rather not have that, as I want to avoid having to deal with rain gear! That seems even worse, in that, at least you can put on waterproofs OVER your pants! If you don't have the liner on and it starts raining, your down to your birthday suit on the side of the road, in the rain! I suppose if the liner breathes well enough, they might not be too bad? They also come with what seems to be a really nice cold weather liner, so, they've got one up on the dariens. Thoughts? Jim Link to comment
