BULLman Posted October 7, 2005 Share Posted October 7, 2005 A strange noise is coming from my RT's tranny. It sounds like marbles are loose somewhere inside it. I recently changed the tranny oil and gear oil with synthetic [recommended by local dealer] at Jim Moore's Tech Day in Jax. Bike shifted beautifully the whole way home [engine ran like s*it - but that's a different story] After re-doing the valve-adjustment and TBS, the bike is running the way it use to.... BUT, now there this noise has appeared [sounds like marbles are loose some where] - It happens when I am decelerating and there is a load on the engine. Does it in different gears 2nd & 4th. Seems to shift okay. Rechecked the level of the tranny and gear oil - its A-okay This tranny has had a 2nd gear replaced and then was completely rebuilt/replaced. Will switching to dino oil cure this? Is this something bad? Or, is the worst yet to come Thanks. HHHHHHHHHHEEEEEEEEEEEEELLLLLLLLLLLLLLLPPPPPPPPPPPPPP!
