tkrandall
Now that the R12's engine has been out for a while, what is the view on the success of the BMS-K engine control setup versus the old Motronic 2.4 on the R1150RT? Surging and such all solved now? Link to comment
Ken H.
Having had both I'd say that the BMS-K is definitely much better. The overall drivablity of the bike, especially when cold, is much better. ISFA surging, I'm not sure a fuel injected boxer will ever be truly 100% linear in fuel delivery, there is just too many basic design factors working against it. But the 1200 vs. the 1150 is certainly no worse and in some aspects much better at controlling it. Other big pluses are the knock sensors and overall much improved fuel economy. And a simplified TB sync. procedure. Link to comment
