Bob Palin Posted October 5, 2005 Share Posted October 5, 2005 A friend is staying with me at the moment and wants to do a 600 mile service on his GS since it has just had a piston replaced (partially seized). I told him we could do that but he has turned up with a 1200GS not an 1150. Are the cylinder head torque specs the same (20NM +180) and are the valve clearances the same as the 1150? If not is there somebody who can tell me what they are? Anything else I should be aware of re 1200 v 1150? Thanks. Link to comment

Don't bother syncing the throttle bodies at low rpm, as the stepper motors compensate on their own and your adjustments will have no real effect. Only do it at a higher RPM. Link to comment
