ghaverkamp
At 13k, I'm going to assume it's the rears... Pull off the caliber and either forcibly remove the clip in the middle with a pair of pliers (my normal approach, because I always bought a new pin set with my pads) or depress it. Then, using a drift and a mallet (or hammer) slowly tap the pin out from the tapered side of the pin. When that's done, do the other. The pads will slide ride out. My biggest recommendation is to buy the new pin set. It's only $7 or $8, IIRC, and it makes you stress a lot less when once of these pins goes rolling away or your frustration somehow causes the clip to get bent all to hell. Greg Link to comment
Motorrad4fun
OK great feedback Greg.... Thank You Well, it took all of 20 minutes to do the work. The hardest part was getting the Torque conversion done, that was easy once I found web sitehttp://www.convert-me.com/en/convert/torque Thanks again Link to comment
ghaverkamp
Wow, every post I've written today seems to be filled with either grammatical, spelling, or typographical errors. That's no good. Glad you got your brake pads replaced in spite of all of that, rather than, say, spending time looking for your "calibers." Greg Link to comment
