CMWingfield
I'm interested in removing the tailight assembly to give myself access to the underside of the rear rack area. Last night I took off the tailight lens, and underneath is a reflector and bulb that is attached to the frame via some rubber mounts of some sort. Does anyone know how to release the unit so it can be dropped down, not completely removed? I don't want to disconnect the wiring, I just need some access room. I'm stumped! Ken H.
There are three torx screws from the bottom of the entire tail light, license plate bracket assembly up into the underside of the bike tail piece rear frame. Look underneath up into the wheel well area further forward in front of the plate bracket. The whole thing drops down as an assembly tail light, plate bracket, reflectors, mud guard and all.
