Touratech Cockpit Cover 2

I'm looking into powering a tank from some place other than the top of the side panel on a 1200GS.

I see Touratech makes a Cockpit Cover 2 with an outlet in it, but it looks like the view of my speedometer (not that I look at it much ) would be obstructed by the cord of the plug.

Does anyone have one installed and what is your opinion of it?

Anyone have other options for an outlet?
