SageRider
Bob, I have updated the excel spreadsheet on the Office Live site with some new links. I have also corrected the ASCycles link and the miscapitalized "modesto" in the spreadsheet. No rush to get these onto the web site, but wanted to know if via the excel spreadsheet is how you would like updates to be submitted. Link to comment
Bob Palin
No, I can't read the newer Office documents. Dave sent me teh excel saved as HTML and I inserted that. Link to comment
SageRider
Bob, The page is now saved in the Office 97-03 .xls format on the Office Live site. Please let me know if this will work for you. (I tried saving it as .HTML, but it would only save as .mhtl on the site and required downloading before one could even view.) Link to comment
drswift
Actually it was a Word doc saved as HTML. Boney has some additions coming as well. Link to comment
SageRider
OK. Tom, Do you have an Office Live Account. If yes, I can add you to the shared event folder which currently Bob, Dave, and myself have access to. This gives us one place to keep the Attractions file so that all can add to. It also gives Bob one place to go to pull down the updates for publishing. As far as format, I don't care what we use as long as it's simple for all involved to work with. It can be as basic as a notepad .txt file with the contents similar to a .ini file. Example: [WebCams] Topaz Lake=http://www.topazlakerv.com [Points of Interest] Virginia City (Heart of the Comstock)=http://www.virginiacity-nv.org/ Link to comment
drswift
Michael: Can you delete the Web links page on Live Office that we don't need anymore just to avoid confusion? Link to comment
SageRider
The 2003 format file is still on Office Live and is the master. Once I'm sure everyone can use that file, I will delete the 2007 format file which has already been renamed with do not use in the file name. Should be no confusion. Link to comment
drswift
Duh! I didn't have my screen wide enough to see the Do Not Use. Link to comment
SageRider
OK. It looks like we'll keep the Excel 2003 format file for now. Submit any additions through posting on this thread. Supply the category, title, and link. Periodically Dave will publish the html file for Bob to use. Link to comment
Bob Palin
I grabbed the Excel version from Office Live and saved it as html, with some manipulation it worked just fine, I'm happy to keep doing this. Link to comment
SageRider
Great, Bob! That will likely be easiest for all. We're thinking at this time to maybe update the page once a month or so since nothing is too time critical. Thanks!!! Link to comment
Bob Palin
It takes me about 5 minutes to manipulate the page so no big deal. I did find some links that were not really links, just entering http://... into a cell doesn't create a link, you have to click on the internet symbol and copy the URL into the text part (easier to look at than explain) . I fixed all the ones I found on the OfficeLive version. Link to comment
