BucksTherapy Posted September 12, 2005 Share Posted September 12, 2005 I completed a valve adjustment and TB sync two weeks ago on my 02RT using the BMW method. The vacuum at all rpms is equal and the bike is somewhat smoother with less surging. One outcome I did not expect is the oil temp is up one bar in all operating conditions. The idle is now at ~1100 and was down around 1000 beforethe sync. Any ideas what might be going on here? Link to comment
ericfoerster Posted September 12, 2005 Share Posted September 12, 2005 Did you switch oil? My bike went up one bar after moving over to sythetic oil. I can't tell you why but it did. It also ran one bar warmer on the BMW dino oil vs. Rotella Link to comment
LJR Posted September 13, 2005 Share Posted September 13, 2005 How many bars are you showing? Did you put the vacuum hoses back on? Checked your oil cooler lately? (for debris, or butterflies) Link to comment
