westco Posted September 12, 2005 Share Posted September 12, 2005 The second day of a 10 day trip to California, I gassed up with my 2002 RT on the sidestand. That night at the motel I put it on the centerstand. The next morning the temperature had dropped and when I turned the key on, gas was dripping from the rear suspension. Immediately turned off the key to investigate and found the gas running from the tank area. Turned the key on again and it started flowing, probably about 1/4 pint total. I pulled the right side plastic expecting a leak on the quick connects but it looked like it had been coming from high up on the rear of the tank. After the plastic was off, I hit the key again and nothing. Started the bike and watched it for a while, no leaking. Proceeded to complete the trip with no further incidences.
