Dave_C Posted September 10, 2009 Share Posted September 10, 2009 I just installed "Gaffner" brake pads on my r1200rt. Got 'em from Cycle Gear. The BMW pads are frikin' expensive. These were about $30 per pair. I also lubed the slide pins on the rear caliper. My rear pads still had some life in them but I changed them all anyway. I'll report later on wear and feel. I wonder what the torque should be for the pins that go through the hole on the front pads, anyone know? There is a clip that holds the pin, so I didn't tighten them very much. Link to comment
