Aerostitch Tank Panniers Anyone?

I'm intrigued. Anyone of you gentlemen/women use these? Got installed pics? Comments?

I bought a set used from the classifieds in the BMWON mag.

last year & used them on the one rally that I attended this

spring. They are the larger of the two pairs available, in

black. The panniers worked well on my GS/PD in blocking the

breeze from my knees, but they did rub a bit of decal away

from the tank on each side, about the size of a quarter.

My suggestion is: buy used, & protect your paint!

I like mine a lot. They're good for keeping some items readily at hand and not packed deep in your sidebags. They also keep some of the load to the front of the bike. I only use mine when I travel for more than a couple days and need to carry more gear.

 

They're not waterproof, though. You'll need to put your stuff into a waterproof liner that Aerostich also sells.

I also use these on extended trips. Like them a lot. I bought the waterproof insert for one side. Save your money and use garbage bag for your stuff. Haven't had any trouble with damaging my tank.
