George Brown Posted September 9, 2009 Share Posted September 9, 2009 Judy and I just drove (in our Explorer) up to Yellowstone from Jackson yesterday. The Rockerfeller Memorial Parkway between GTNP and YSNP is still under construction for an eight mile stretch. Signs advise 30 minute delays and we had about a 30 minute delay going north in the morning and about 25 minutes coming south in the evening. I would guess that this will be the case for the rest of the season. The entire stretch is gravel and/or dirt but for the most part pretty tight. The escort trucks held the pace down to under 20 mph while moving. The roads in the park from the south entrance to Old Faithful and Lake were fine. The park advises that the Loop road is closed between Madison and Manmmoth. Link to comment
