Ron-M
I plan on doing a valve adjustment in the very near future. Is there anyone in the Tallahassee area that has a Twinmax that can assist me with a throttle body sync? Link to comment

Paul Mihalka
Throttle body sync on hexheads: On my oilheads (R1100RT/R1150R) I regularly did the throttle body routine and they always needed it. On hexheads (any R1200) there is nothing to do for idle as that is controlled by stepper motors. Off idle, at 3000 or 4000 rpm, it is possible to do it. But: my R1200GS with over 80K miles runs so smooth and good, comes off idle completely even without surging, that I never touched it. I'm of the old school that if it ain't broke I don't fix it. The throttle cable setup on the hexheads is much better than on the oilheads. Link to comment

Haven't seen any need to change mine (31,000 miles so far..) Link to comment
