Blake_Welcher
I have a 2005 R1200RT. About 2 years ago I went to Corbin for a "ride in" and had them make a seat with heaters. At the time they did not have any way to connect the heater to the bar control switch on the bike, but said they were working on one. The other day I called them to see if they now had a system. They indicated that they did, but it would not work with the seat heaters that I have; I would need a new heater system and as it is integrated with the cover it would come close to the cost of a new seat. Has any one hooked the older system up so that it will run off the bar switch? If so how did you do it? Thanks in advance - Blake Link to comment
Ken H.
You did or did not previously have OEM heated seats? If so, cut and splice the wires in, add some sort of diconnnect connector if you wish. It will work fine. Link to comment
Blake_Welcher
I did have stock heated seats. Did you just splice the Corbin leads that connected to the battery to the cable that connected to the stock seat? Thanks - Blake Link to comment
