kingpinofdisks
Thanks to the San Diego Tech Daze, I am looking at purchasing a pair of the Ear Inc Competition Sports Monitors (http://earinc.com/p2-music-competition.php). Where can I have an ear mold made inexpensivly? Link to comment
AdventurePoser
Since you are new, I'll forgive you for not buying from our own Arizona Al... You can make your own with a kit from a drug store very reasonably. Or, you can go to any audiologist who sells hearing aids. Not particularly cheap-around $90... Cheers, Steve Link to comment
steve.foote
Chris, Look for a local Miracle Ear dealer. I had mine done for about $20. Link to comment
sgendler
My local hearing aid specialist did molds for free if I bought the in-ear speakers from her. She also didn't add any markup to the prices charged by the manufacturer. I think she assumes (probably correctly, I'm afraid), that even a motorcyclist who always wear earplugs will probably wind up with hearing aids eventually. I'm genetically predisposed towqard hearing loss, too. I doubt I'll still be living in this town, but she doesn't know that. --sam Link to comment
decorbin
I've had them done a couple times from the same hearing aid place. The guy charged $20 one time and $20 for two the second. It depends on how busy they are. Ask before you have them do it. Link to comment
jrcarpenter
I called E.A.R. (800-525-2690) and they gave me the name and number of a lady that was close to home. She works directly with E.A.R., so no hassels if they don't fit right. You might give them a call and see if they have someone close to you. Link to comment
Sputnik
Look for a local Miracle Ear dealer. I had mine done for about $20. I think it was a Miracle Ear at the Sear's store that did mine for free. The audiologist wouldn't even take money for the cost of their materials. I did write a wonderful thank you letter to the manager. Seems some of the Miracle Ears are run by corporate and some are franchises. Guess I just lucked out that this one was corporate and they had no idea what to charge for just the injection mold without a full ear exam. Link to comment
