beemerFROG
So I just bought a '76 R90/6 that I am in love with! (Cuz the RT needed some company!! ) My winter project is going to be turning into a cafe racer and one thing I want to do is replace the air filter with 2 conical air filters coming right off the carbs. I know this sounds stupid BUT does that mean I basically can not ride it in the rain??? I mean, water plus filter is never a good idea. Has anyone done this? Is there a way around this? Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance. Link to comment
Tony_K
All of my cafe bikes are set up with crap filters off the carb. Usually though I have made other mods that I wouldn't be caught dead in the rain on them let alone the filter issue. Basically without a enclosed remote element filtration system anything can happen meaning water could be injested or restrict airflow. Link to comment
