Motorrad4fun
My K1200GT runs great; the exhaust is also in good shape, however riding it with the cat. Converter it is somewhat of a Heat Monster Has anyone replaced there exhaust with an after market? If so, any difference in performance with the bike? Any draw backs to doing this that you are aware of? Link to comment
ShovelStrokeEd
The cat is not making the heat you feel, its the motor. Changing the exhaust will net you little or no power increase unless you include a reprogrammed chip for the Motronic. Rhinewest in San Antonio does a very good job on K bike chippage. They have maps for aftermarket exhausts as well as stockers. Link to comment
Bert
I put a Remus (Innovation) on my KRS. Saves noticeable weight making the bike slightly lighter in handling, revs a little more freely, and gained maybe 5 hp. I'd do it again. Link to comment
hANNAbONE
sTAINTUNE...what a sound..!!Perfect build quality too.!! Link to comment
Ricbob
Another vote for the Staintune. Fits perfect, looks great, no repacking and sounds fantastic - particularly w/ the baffle out. Oh yeah, very nice boost on the torque curve. Link to comment
Gkgeiger
My opinion, don't change it. I had a KRS which I put a 2Bros system on. It only stayed on a week. It wasn't better, just louder. The thing I love about my BMW's is the quiet smooth power. Link to comment
