Selden Posted July 7, 2009 Share Posted July 7, 2009 Since the BRR has taken place in Maggie Valley, some of you are familiar with the area. Here's a plug for an event coming up in 10 days. The Folkmoot festival has taken place in the Waynesville area for 26 years now. On Friday July 17 and Saturday July 25, there will be free events in downtown Waynesville. Folkmoot is one of the most interesting summer festivals in the SE USA. Hotel/motel space is probably impossible to come at this late date, but the Blue Ridge Motorcycle campground in nearby Cruso is likely to have space, and a motorcycle makes it a little easier to get close to downtown Waynesville than a car.
