Deek
My RT has 24k miles on it and it will soon be going to the dealer for service. When are other riders changing their brake pucks/pads? Link to comment
johnlt
I think you'll see a lot of variation. My GSA needed rear pads at ~30K but the fronts are still original at 41K. Link to comment
Mister Tee
Seems to vary all over the board (so to speak.) Here was my recent experience: http://bmwsporttouring.com/ubbthreads/ubbthreads.php?ubb=showflat&Number=486800#Post486800 You might want to consult your owner's manual for guidance on inspecting your pads. I just replaced my rear pads, a second time, after only 4,000 miles. That was unacceptable. The problem turned out to be binding floating caliper pins. I fixed the problem, and now the wear and binding issue appears to have been resolved. Link to comment
