Tom P
I received a Garmin Nuvi750 and in addition to auto use I would like to use it occasionally on my 1100RT. I've found the necessary mounting brackets (RAM-B-179U and RAM-HOL-GA26U) and I could just charge the internal battery for up to 5 hours of use. However, for longer trips I would like to get power from the bike battery. Any suggestions on the best (and easiest) way to do the hookup would be most helpful. Thanks. Link to comment
DoggedRT
I'm prepping my bike for a Nuvi 550 and found a bare wire (not cigarette lighter plug) wiring kit on eBay. Paid $20 and have it on the RT, just waiting for REI to deliver the GPS. I did a quick search on ebay with these words: garmin nuvi 750 hardwire power and found a similar unit for the 750/760/770/780. The unit I purchased was a Garmin OEM, not sure if this one this search found is from Garmin or not. Link to comment
