Twin Max

Does anybody use, or have they used the Twin Max throttle body tool on the 800?

There seems to be some debate as to whether it would ever be necessary as the set up appears less susceptible to variation that would cause an imbalance.

Any experience?

I used a TwinMax for the first time on my R80RT last month, first time synchronizing the carbs on my new-to-me airhead. I have a cheapo tool as well that I may use in the near future (shown here: $2 synch tool)

 

My experience with the TwinMax - under the tutelage of an experienced user - was fine. I used it at idle and did not try an on-the-road mid range adjustment as some recommend.
