DaveyMac
Does my "00"RT have oil in the FT. Forks? and does any one have a write up for changing? I see some thing about air bleeds, whats up with that? DaveyMac Link to comment
Jim Moore
Yes, your RT has oil in the forks. It is used only for lubrication in the telelever. The general rule is, "If it ain't leakin' don't touch it." Link to comment
TMH
The general rule is, "If it ain't leakin' don't touch it." And if it is leakin'??? Sorry to hijack this thread, but I just noticed some oil on my left fork slider. Are we talkin' blown seal??? Thanks, Tom Link to comment
Ken H.
Are we talking' blown seal?Yes, but because there are no springs inside the fork / sliders, the seals are a snap to replace. Loosen the clamps, slide one side down, rotate the wheel to the side to make clearance to rotate the tube up and out. Replace seals, reinstall and repeat. Can't recall for sure, but on an RT I think there is even room with the front faring on to get the slide tube up and out. Link to comment
