Don E
New GPS user (Garmin 2730) and what like to add coordinates of up coming rally. But unit wouldn't take numbers listed on Web site (N36 47.226, W85 22.139). I get to W but only have option for 0 or 1. Is it a mistake in coordinates or something w/ my unit? Link to comment
T__
Don, try removing the comma then try adding it.. Twisty Link to comment
ltljohn
Don, Enter it as N36 47.226, W085 22.139 and it should work. There are 90 degrees of latitude north or south of the equator and there are 180 degrees longitude east and west of the prime meridian. Look here for a primer. Link to comment

johnlt
I agree with ltljohn that the "085" is the key. You need a leading zero. Link to comment
T__
I don’t know about the 0 first.. I just plugged his coordinates into my unit without the comma & without the 0 & it worked great.. Put me on lower river st in Burksville.. Twisty Link to comment
