drswift
Here's an inexpensive alternative to the dry bags that run $60 to $120. You get BOTH a 91.5 liter and a 37.6 liter "storm bag" for $29.88 at Walmart. storm bag linky Link to comment

Selden
I hope they hold up better than the compression stuff sack I bought at Wally World a few years ago; one of the buckles broke on the first pull. Link to comment

BeemerLover
Get a $10 water resistant duffle and a plastic trash bag. I've never had anything get wet in one of these even over a full day that had driving rainstorms. Link to comment
elkroeger
Back when I was a young'in, in the late '70's we did a week-long canoe trip in Montana: One crappy K-mart nylon duffle, lined with double Hefty sacks with the tops tied in a knot. We all had dry socks EVERY night! Under $10. Been using that system, without fail, ever since (although i have since replaced the Hefties, and the duffle a few times) Link to comment
