lightcycle
Sick of the Canadian winter and suffering from motorcycle withdrawal, we flew down to New Zealand a couple of months ago to tour the south island on a couple of rental bikes. We rented a Triumph Sprint ST and a BMW R1200GS and spent a couple of weeks circumnavigating the island. Here are a few pictures. RichEdwards
Nice pictures. I did a cruise to NZ in November. On all the interior excursions, I wished I was on a motorcycle. A wonderful bike destination! Link to comment
AZKomet
Outstanding!!!! Been to Oz twice. Can't believe that BOTH times I missed NZ??? Link to comment
Effjay
Spectacular scenery - thanks for sharing! I did a 2 week fly-n-drive in 1988 (by cage ) with a week in Oz (Bicentennial year plus World Expo in Brisbane) and a week on North Island, NZ. Those who haven't been there might not realize their seasons are backwards from North America and that North Island is considerably warmer than South Island due to the down under thing.
