Lawman Posted August 19, 2005 Share Posted August 19, 2005 Shift linkage problem is probably the most common problem on the LT..I always carried a spare with me when I had my LT. Not a problem on any other bike I'm aware of.. Link to comment

Lawman Posted August 23, 2005 Share Posted August 23, 2005 As best I can remember it seemed to be made of light material that consisted of rods and a short ball and socket type connection that would break..I don't think it would be a problem unless it was damaged in a fall or unless it was used by an old Harley rider like myself that uses more force than necessary to change gears..It's just very light material as I recall..Shift gently, don't drop the bike and you MAY not have a problem...
