Hog_Man
Desperatly looking for a US reputable repair facility that can handle a generator off of an early BMW. This is a 1969 R60/2 sold in the US. The generator is pretty well burnt so needs a complete overhaul. Only other choice is to send it to Frankfurt and would like to avoid that if possible. The repair facility needs to be a commercial concern that guarantees its work. THANKS!!! Don 406-728-5341 Link to comment

BMWSTeve
No, No, No. There are much better alternatives. BenchMarkWorks in Sturgis, MS has an all inclusive parts webpage and you can call ask for Vech for tech questions. New 6V or aftermarket 12v Motoradd Elektrik has a 12V conversion, same thing good web page or call Rik Jones. Most important is log onto the yahoo "Slash2" group for good technical support and socializing. There are 2 vintage BMW bike clubs, The VMCA and The vintage bmw motorcycle club. That will get you started. or you can PM me for more details. Link to comment
