Bud
Well, dad always said I wasn't the brightest bulb on the porch. I did however buy the book, look online and order the parts to replace the fork seal and dust cover on my K 1100 LT. Everything went really well till I got the retaining ring which holds the seal in the slider tube. The directions say to use a screwdrive and pry the ring out. Much easier said than done. But, not being one to give up, an hour later it was finally out. Bottom line, we are now back together, buttoned up and no extra pieces left on the floor. Don't know the book rate for this job. I'm retired so my time is worth nothing so it didn't matter how long it took. Disk brake bobbins next on the list. Link to comment
