Handlebar Switch Movement

Hey folks, I have a 99 R1100GS (new to me) and wanted to adjust the controls on the handlebar a bit. An old flight instructor once told us there were no stupid questions, only stupid students. This may fall into that category, but... I wanted to rotate my switch housings a bit - mostly to try to get the horn button closer to my left thumb. It seems there is a bolt connecting the middle section of the handlebars to either switch housing. If that's the case, then I guess the only way to rotate the switch housings is to rotate the entire handlebar? Thanks in advance for any clarification.

I'm sure there is a bolt holding the switch/control assembly maybe someone here can point you in the right direction to the instructions on loosening them.

Described a bit more accurately, there is an index pin that hold the controls at a fixed point. To prevent unintentional rotation. You can disassemble the control and file off the pin if you want.
