Boffin
Yet another victim of the collapse of the world economy it seems. I wonder if there will be any decent racing series next year - or will it simply mean the renaissance of the privateer? Here is the BBC story: Subaru pull out of WRC Andy Link to comment
David
That's tough. When I think of WRC, Subaru is the brand that always comes to mind. Link to comment

Andy I would applaud that ! Much more fun, get the adventure back, the creativity and the driver skills ! Link to comment
keithb
It is hard to justify spending $5-$10 million or whatever it costs to field a racing team when the economy or your business is in the crapper. Link to comment
VinnyR11
Honda pulling out of F1 and AMA, and now Subaru is out of WRC. I think this is the tip of the motorsports iceberg. As Keith said, how can these companies justify the multi-million dollar racing programs when many are laying off thousands and close to going bust? It's going to be a very tough time for pro racing. It's also tough to justify a lot of these series based upon a "race on Sunday sell on Monday" mentality. Link to comment
