FlyingFinn
Does anyone have, or know where to find, the pinout of oilhead flasher relay? I don't have the fuse box, simply direct connections to the flasher relay itself and with the "BMW style" turn signal switchgear the connections are not obvious. Appreciating any and all help! -- Mikko Link to comment
T__
Mikko, what bike,, ( model, year) would this be needed for? Twisty Link to comment
FlyingFinn
Lets say the relay is from a 1100RT. AFAIK, the fuse boxes are same for 1100RT and 1150RT. Extrapolating from there I made an assumption (should have known better...) that all oilheads (except for R1100S which uses completely different electrics) use same flasher relay. The relay will not be used in a 1100RT -- Mikko Link to comment
T__
Mikko, well, I hope someone else here has something better for you.. I have the 1100 in book form that is spread over about 4 pages with no pin numbers but circuit wire colors & switches shown.. Only problem is my scanner is out for repair so I have no way of making an electronic copy.. With no switch or flasher unit pin numbers shown I can’t even tell you what goes where as you & I would have no common reference.. The only thing I have in electronic form that I can find is the 1150 GS.. This will probably help you out,, only problem is I can barely read the document on my computer & when I try to shrink it enough to send it electronically is looks to be difficult to see pin numbers.. If you E-Mail me or PM me your E-Mail address I will send you the page in .jpg form.. Not sure it will be real readable but it might print out OK (worth a try I guess).. Lots of wires on that flasher unit so you really need to see the schematic in person.. Twisty Link to comment
FlyingFinn
Thanks Twisty, I got the jpegs and it's quite readable. Only the flasher pin numbers/pin names are little fuzzy, can you verify those for me? From what I see it goes something like this (from left to right) Pin 1, can't read the name (switched +12V from load release relay) Pin 2, can't read the name (12+ directly from battery) Pin 3, TL (left turn switch) Pin 5, WB (4-way switch) Pin 4, TA (turn signal cancel) Pin ?, TR (right turn switch) Pin 12, L (left blinkers) Pin ?, R (right blinkers) Pin 7, Ground Thanks again! -- Mikko Link to comment
