rocks
So I thought I would put a few of my favorite New England eating spots out for all to see, with approximate distances from Lancaster. Feel free to add any others you feel would be worthwhile stops during day rides in and around the UN. Not in any particular order… Woodstock Inn & Micro Brewery, (Woodstock, NH 40 miles) Salt Hill Pub, (Lebanon, NH 78 miles) Colatina’s Exit, (Bradford, VT 47 miles) The Lobster Shack, (Cape Elizabeth, ME 120 miles) Portsmouth Brewery, (Portsmouth, NH 128 miles) Woodman’s of Essex, (Essex, MA 170 miles) The Balsam’s Resort, (Dixville Notch, NH 42 miles) Christopher’s Third Street Grill, (Dover, NH 112 miles) Al’s French Fries, (Burlington, VT 96 miles) Maine Diner, (Wells, ME 140 miles) Ben & Jerry’s, (Waterbury, VT 75 miles) Link to comment

marcopolo
Where is it? I assume they meant: Polly's Pancake Parlor 672 Route 117 Sugar Hill, NH 03586 It's about 30 miles southwest of Roger's Campground by my calculation. Link to comment

SAMSAR
Bump... Four Season's Cafe in Oquossoc, ME is at a crossroads of a couple routes and a decent place to stop and recharge. Respectable clam basket and chili. There are a couple nice little stores to check out in the village too. Top of Mount Washington does have a cafeteria too though nothing to write home about. What "must stop" restaurants do the locals recommend? Link to comment
TomK
Fairlee Diner Rt 5 Fairlee, Vt. Just north of the bridge to NH on Rt5. Exit Fairlee off of I91. My favorite place for breakfast. Small, old fashion style. Excellent home fries. No credit cards. Link to comment

StuGotz
Looking for a review of Legal Seafoods...Long Wharf in Boston. Anyone been there? Is it all that? Thanks in advance, MB> Link to comment
Woodie
Legal Seafoods is very good. I haven't been there in a long time. Riding in downtown is, well, a pain. YMMV. No lane-splitting, and Mass drivers are renowned for their "less than perfect" driving. The clambake at the UN will meet/beat it! Link to comment

SRG
Love this type of food http://www.yankeesmokehouse.com/ . . . and behold a perfect route UN87 Lake Winnipesaukee takes you right past the Yankee Smokehouse. A great stop and feed near the end of the route. Currently planning on doing this route on Monday morning. Link to comment
SAMSAR
If you are going to make the UN87 Lake Winnipesaukee route. I highly recommend the "Alternate" route that I emailed to everyone today as the better way to go. It looks like the YankeeSmokeHouse is only a slight diversion from the route... If there is any room in your side cases... I'll have a full rack! Paul Link to comment
SRG
Yup, just a short jaunt south on 16. The revised route looks great. Thanks, SAMSAR! Link to comment
