Adapter plug from Gerbings to BMW plug Provides a direct connection from your heated garments to the accessory port, such as on a BMW motorcycle. This plug is not a standard cigarette lighter plug. link Link to comment

sjn7708 Posted November 18, 2008 Share Posted November 18, 2008 also depends on how many amps youre pulling since the bmw outlet will only support a certain draw before the electronic fuse pops. SO for a vest its ok, but for a full heated jacket and pants probably not, which is why people wire directly to the battery. Link to comment

It should be good for up to 15Amps if large enough wires was used to connect the plug to the battary and it has a large enough fuse. Link to comment

dsquare Posted November 20, 2008 Share Posted November 20, 2008 I use the single dashboard outlet on my 2001 1100RT to power my Gerbings Liner, gloves, socks and Zumo 550. Rode yesterday in 25 degree weather here in Massachusetts with the power setting on max. Works great!. Link to comment
