Bruch
Greetings all, With the sudden drop in temperature here in western PA, it seems like a good time to get the off-season maintenance out of the way. On my '04 RT there's an item listed in the maintenance shedule called "Grease front strut lower pivot." Can anyone clear that up? Is it the lower attachment point of the shock, or the point of the paralever that attaches to the forks above the fender? I've got the plastic off already and I'm waiting on a new front tire and metal fuel fittings. Bruch Link to comment
Jerry Duke
Correct, that's where the front shock mounts to the telelever. Link to comment
Bruch
Thanks Jerry...so the strut is the coil-over shock. Good enuf. Link to comment
Clive Liddell
Not sure which manual you have but greasing that point only applied to the very early RS model and the manual should have told you this. From about '95 this was a maintenance free item. Link to comment
