BobB
I purchased a 2000 RT1100 and I can't seem to find the area for inspecting the clutch fluid level. Can someone help? Thanks Bob Link to comment
Stan Walker
Trade it in on a 2002 or later. The clutch on your bike is a dry clutch actuated by a cable. Stan Link to comment
BobB
LOL, Thanks Stan! But why a 2002 or later model? Link to comment
Stan Walker
They have hydraulic clutch actuation with a window in the reservoir for checking the DOT4 fluid level. The clutch itself is still a single dry disc trapped between two pressure plates, and very much like a car's clutch in design. Stan Link to comment
BobB
I was LOL because I spent a 1/2 hour looking all over the bike for the clutch fluid. Bob Thanks Again! Link to comment
Stan Walker
Just think about how embarrassed the rest of us would have been if you had found it..... after all these years...... Stan Link to comment
