MGN54
Putting in some of the recommended 4418 plugs on my service I'm working on. Never installed any four electrode plugs. Do I need to set a gap? If so, at what? Getting closer! Mark Link to comment
Ralph
No need to gap. Look at the plug & you'll see why. I went from the 4417 in the 1150, to a $1.98 Autolite ( recommended by other members) & noticed no difference in the way the bike ran. $6. bucks or a Little under $2. bucks. Not a hard decision for me. Actually the few bucks are not a big issue with me, but why use gold when silver will do the same thing? Link to comment
MGN54
Thanks Ralph! I decided after looking at them that it would be impossible to adjust the suckers so just went for it. Bike started much easier from a cold start. Now to warm her up and do the throttle body sync. Whoo, hoo! Downside....$13 for the pair at Autozone. Will probably give the Autolites a try if surging continues after TBS. About $3 for the pair at Wally World! Mark Link to comment
