Jon_M
I also have the low seat on my R12RT and agree that it is not terribly comfortable. It is not awful, but I would like to get a little more range before starting to squirm. I just cannot bring myself to trade for the stock seat because I hate being tippy-toe when I come to a stop, especially on uneven pavement. I am damned if I am going to let this one fall over the way my old K11 did from time to time. So, what to do? I will probably let Bill Mayer have a go at it (he is close to where I live and I can interact with him about the rebuild). But the limitation is in the two-piece saddle. I never ride two-up and could care less about the pillion, but the rider's seat is only so long, and it is not possible to get more fore- and aft-movement so that I can shift positions as I ride. Where you sit is where you are stuck. Dang! I have an Alaska Leather pad on my /2, and it will also fit the R12, so I will definitely give that a go as well. Link to comment
