RonP
Once the TwinMax is connected to the bike and calibrated - as I turn the BBS for idle adjustment does the TwinMax give an instant feedback or does it take a few seconds for the adjustment to take effect, my assumption is I should get an instant feedback which is not happening even when the BBS is turned 1/2 turn in either direction. Could my TwinMax be defective or maybe is it me with the defect. Thanks,RonP Link to comment
GaryIF
The meter reading is instantaneous. Once calibrated, do you the sensitivity cranked to the maximum? Link to comment
Blue Beemer Dude
Well, Ron, I'd hate to think that you're defective right out of the box... so let's look at the twinmax. It senses the difference in vacuum between the two hoses. Here's how you test it: Turn it on. suck on a hose. see if the needle moves. I did it once just to see how sensitive it was. Fun times in my garage that night! Oh, and yes, it is instantaneous. Michael Link to comment
Bob Palin
Response is immediate but I've always understood that you should turn on the TwinMax for 5 minutes before use to let it settle down, some people like to clip the wire to the light too to avoid that draw on the battery and possible internal temperature change.
