ahirsch
I was hoping someone would have an idea on how to remove the air cleaner cover from a 1985 xl350. Here's the deal... The screws turn and so does the nut that they are attached to. The problem is the nuts are buried in the plastic air cleaner housing and I can not even see them to attach a wrench. Does this make sense? Any ideas??? Link to comment
Silver Surfer/AKAButters
Sounds like the nuts may have been originally captive in the AC housing which prevented them from turning and they have now worked loose. If so, you should be able to jam a screww driver between the nut and the housing to hold the nut. Link to comment
ahirsch
They have worked loose. I have tried to pry with the driver a bit but I don't want to break anything. Link to comment
