MAH
So, I was doing a few minor things to my bike (r850r) like changing the battery and air and oil filter etc. and I managed to put my bike (r850r) back together without the air filter in. I made it around the block with her spitting and backfiring etc. Putting the new filter in hasn't seemed to help...Anyone have any idea what have I done??? The only other thing I can think of that might have had some effect was I spilled some gas when I was lifting the tank up to change the battery--perhaps it's a fuel problem. Thanks for any help. Jim Moore
Check to make sure your throttle cables are fully seated in their pulleys. Link to comment
PLW
I think you may need to re-initialize the Motronic control unit. Try turning the key on [but don't start the engine] and then fully open and close the throttle two or three times. I think. Link to comment
