David
Took this a few nights ago when I went outside to get something from the car and saw this moth, asleep on the side. Beautiful creatures in these woods. The owls are really loud at night--when I get more ambitious, I'm going to try to capture one of them with a camera. f16, 1/250, ISO 800 Link to comment
Paul_Burkett
Really nice picture. It is interesting to see the detail of the wing structure and how the fabric covers the braces (orange lines) and allows that moth to fly. Also the colors and dots that make it so beautiful. Link to comment

Coloring in the natural world is usually about camouflage, attracting a mate, or warning off potential predators, isn't it? Guess that all could be true for this one in the setting you've photographed <>... ~ Bill Link to comment
f86sabre
I got a shot of one of those last summer. Really neat looking insects. Link to comment
SC_SVRider
I thought this Luna Moth was kind of beautiful when I saw it resting on our window a few months ago. Link to comment
