Richard_D
I have a 2006 Dakar. I read all the FAQ about modifying to install a "SEALED" battery. I bought a Westco SVR15L which is a new and improved battery according to Westco. Their customer service is top notch and the battery was delivered in one day. The Westco fit right in with absolutely " NO " modification at all. I've had a Westco in my R1150RT now for over 4 years now and it has never let me down.Richard Druckman Link to comment
baggerchris
Good news. I caught your blurb on the Chaingang site also. Thanks for posting! Link to comment
azducgirl
I imagine it would work in my 2006 F650GS? Checking that battery (standard one) is just annoying, having to un-do all those little screws. It's the only complaint I have about the bike, though. Link to comment
Richard_D
It should be exactly the same. The battery is about 1/4 inch thicker but it squeezed right in . Some people at the Chaingang website modified the battery bracket by just drilling new holes in it. I was ready to do the same but it fit right in . It was snug but it fit. http://faq.f650.com/FAQs/BatteryFAQ.htm#GS%20Tray%20Mods Link to comment
