BucksTherapy Posted June 6, 2008 Share Posted June 6, 2008 This is a tremendous sight for info in diagnosing and fixing issues. I have a 2000 Indian(factory S&S) in addition to the RT. I am having some kind of ignition/carburetion issue and am looking for a sight like this to leverage somepne who knows more about it than I do. Any ideas? Link to comment
baggerchris Posted June 6, 2008 Share Posted June 6, 2008 Any good Indy shop that does Harley work would be my best guess. The S&S engine is a very normal vtwin, and should not present any untoward problems analyzing troubles if they have the proper tools. Link to comment
mickey05 Posted June 7, 2008 Share Posted June 7, 2008 If its popping and missing I would check the intake manifold gaskets they tend to sometimes get too hot and create a leak. Also if it is running fine then when it gets hot starts running on one cylinder check the stator. If the battery went dead or is bad that could have taken our the voltage regulator and or the stator. Not positive about the Indians just my guess Link to comment
