Need to get from 29 palms to Fresno

Ok, Ryan gets off on July 2 around Noon, and leave 29 palms, and needs to be in Fresno by July 3. So we need good roads from 29 palms to Fresno. It does not need to be a straight line. and basically he is looking for maybe 225 miles on July 2, then another 350 on Thursday.

 

Any road suggestions is appreciated. I plan on putting together a route with mapsource. Thanks

It is pretty simple and only about 330 miles. % hours and you are in Fresno.

yes I have mapsource and can make a direct or fastest route. What Ryan wants is to know if there are some great riding roads between 29 palms and Fresno. If so we would like to string 4 or 5 roads together to make fun ride. If there are not a lot of good roads, then maybe he goes directly to Fresno, and then on Thursday the 3rd, maybe there are some good roads around Fresno that he could do a day ride. Basically his vacation starts on July 2 around Noon, but our trip does not start until Friday July 4. So he has a day and a half to do some riding.

 

for example,I am not sure of the road, but last thanksgiving we came from oceanside to a place for breakfast. Can not remember the name, but the road we took from oceanside to get to this small town with a restuarant with great pies, was a fantastic road. so we are looking for suggestions like that.

If it were me..........

29 Plams--247 towards Vistorville.

at Lucerne Valley you could take the Mountain road thru Big Bear, Crestline and down to 138 and Wrightwood.

Or... at Victorville, Hesperia, jog south to 138 to Wrightwood to 138 to Plamdale

N2 to Hway 5

Hway 5 to 184 to 178

Kernville 190 to Poterville

jog to Three Rivers

Sequoia -- Kings Canyon -- Fresno

Lots of twisties and mountains.

If you like big trees, don't miss Sequoia.

the Road from Kernville to Poterville is swoooopie.

I am sure you will get lots of advice.
