Donate old motorcycle helmets

Someone told me there was a website where you could donate old helmets and they would be sent to kids in South America. I haven't been able to find this. Has anyone come across this website??

That statement reads like you were the last person in a long game of TELEPHONE.

 

Those poor kids just can't get a break. A used, worn out, smelly, ill fitting, out of date, possibly crash damaged helmet for their saftey!

 

Seriously though here are helmet charities but none ask for used helmets.

They are pretty much all bicycle helmets. Good on ya for thinking proactive though. Maybe a monitary donation would be more appropriate than your old lid.

Well, the way it was explained to me was that they were used for kids who had brain surgery and needed protection for a period of time. As for being "...used, worn out, smelly, ill fitting, out of date, possibly crash damaged...", the only words fitting the three I have are "used," and maybe "out of date" for motorcycle use (if there is such a thing). If they fit any of the other descriptions, they would be in the dumpster. I will check out the websites noted.
